Best Go City promo code Jul 9, 2026: Go City's public codes give 5%, or 10% on London only. REF[**] gives 10% everywhere. What about those 50% claims?
Go City's "up to 50%" language refers to pass savings versus buying attractions separately. REF[**] is the checkout code that takes a further 10% off the pass price. In the pass pricing section below, we show how both savings play out for the kind of attractions many first-time New York visitors are more likely to choose.
The other big numbers you see in this search all shrink on inspection. Groupon's "up to 50% off" headline resolves to a $25 cap on selected adult All-Inclusive and Explorer passes, and the code it tells you to use (SUMMER) was already being rejected at the Go City checkout when we tested it on July 9, 2026. The "54%", "30%" and "20%" claims on coupon sites are marketing framings of the same pass-vs-tickets math; none of them is a working checkout code. We test the codes themselves: every code above 10% that we tried was rejected at the Go City checkout on July 9, 2026. Even Go City's own summer promotion, a banner code on their London storefront, gives the same 10% that REF[**] gives everywhere.
Use for 10% off across the main Go City destinations we've checked, including New York. (Verified Jul 9, 2026)
5% fallback (if REF[**] fails):
⚠️ Warning: the above-10% codes pushed by some sites and AI tools keep failing our checkout tests (latest check: July 9, 2026). Go City moved to everyday low pricing in March 2026, so prices shown already reflect their base discounts. Promo codes like REF[**] apply on top.
❌ Expired: TRIP, TRAVEL10, ANNIVERSARY10 — all stopped working in March 2026.
Use REF[**] as the best broadly working Go City promo code we verified across the main destinations we checked, including New York, where promo codes and rollout timing often move separately from many other Go City destinations. If REF[**] fails at checkout, GOPROMOCD gives a reliable 5% fallback. For a fuller destination-by-destination breakdown, see the table below.
Expired Codes to Avoid (Verified Jul 9, 2026): During our verification process, we confirmed several codes frequently mentioned online no longer work (or never did): TRIP, TRAVEL10, ANNIVERSARY10, SAVE15SET, FLASH10, GOSIGNUP, NYCVIP10, GIMME10. Three deserve a special mention: GOCITY10 (still recommended by AI answers and Reddit threads) and TRIPLE20 (a Google "People also ask" favorite) were both rejected at the Go City New York checkout on July 9, 2026 with "Sorry, we can't find that code". Go City's own seasonal SUMMER code had already expired by early July. Below are today's genuinely active Go City discount codes:
Best Go City Promo Codes:
| Destinations | Best Go City Coupon Code | Discount |
|---|---|---|
| Best Broad-Use Code — Main Destinations Checked (re-verified at the New York checkout Jul 9, 2026) | 10% off | |
| Fallback — if REF[**] fails at checkout | 5% off |
Check our full table of the best codes for all GoCity passes and 28 destinations below.
We regularly hand-verify and compare all coupon codes and discounts available for GoCity tourist passes to check which ones work and give you the highest discount so you don't have the hassle of sifting through non-functional ones.
As of July 2026, the best available Go City promo code works across the main destinations we've checked, re-verified at the New York checkout on July 9, 2026. REF[**] gives 10% off both Explorer and All-Inclusive passes; even Go City's own London summer sale code doesn't beat it. If it fails, use GOPROMOCD for a reliable 5% fallback.
Since March 2026, Go City has moved to an everyday low pricing model — destination passes are now priced lower from the start, replacing the old system of high base prices plus stacking seasonal discounts. Here's what that means for your booking today:
Until Feb 2026
Go City previously offered seasonal sales (up to 30% off base prices) that could be combined with promo codes for headline discounts of 37%+. This model has now ended.
March 2026 onwards
Prices are set lower from the start. Promo codes like REF[**] still apply on top for an additional 10%, but every above-10% code we have tested under this model has been rejected. This is where we are today.
Checked Jul 9, 2026
Peak season confirms the pattern: Go City is running a "Great British Summer Savings" promo on its London storefront: the banner code LONDON gives 10% on London passes only (checked July 9, 2026), and a short-lived SUMMER code had already expired in early July. Both match REF[**]'s 10% without beating it, and REF[**] works beyond London.
💡 What This Means for You: Under the new pricing model, the verified REF[**] code (10%) is the best currently available discount across the main Go City destinations we checked. Seasonal promos do appear, but they arrive as promo codes rather than automatic price cuts, and the cart accepts one code at a time. London's current banner code gives the same 10% as REF[**] and only works on London passes, so there is nothing extra to stack: you simply pick the code with the wider coverage. Everyday prices are already lower than the old "original price" baseline. Book with REF[**] for the highest available saving as of July 9, 2026.
💡 How This Works: right now one broad-use code gives 10% across the destinations we've checked, and every row below copies that code. We keep the per-destination table because availability changes by city (three destinations are currently unavailable) and city-specific codes have existed in the past. Click any code below to reveal and auto-copy it. Broad-use code re-verified at the New York and London checkouts on July 9, 2026; last full per-city sweep: April 21, 2026.

💡 Budget Tip: since 2025 New York now offers an Essentials Pass ($99 for 3 attractions) - perfect for short visits. See details in the NYC section below.
REF[**] gives 10% off whatever price Go City shows at checkout — no minimum spend, no stacking required. Below are the pass prices re-verified July 9, 2026 and unchanged since our April 21 check, with the discounted final price already calculated.
How the "50%" claim changes depending on the comparison
Go City's own Essentials example uses walk-up pricing for a high-value attraction mix. Our editorial New York example uses a more mainstream first-trip mix and compares it against the official separately booked prices a visitor can actually see and reserve today.
| Comparison | Baseline | Separate booking total | Essentials Pass | With REF[**] |
|---|---|---|---|---|
|
Go City official sample Mercer Labs + Edge + Madame Tussauds Go City sample, Apr 21, 2026 |
Walk-up prices | $176.28 | $99.00 43% saving |
$89.10 ~49% saving |
|
Our editorial reality-check Empire State Building + AMNH + 9/11 Museum official attraction sites, Apr 21, 2026 |
Official separately booked prices | starts around $122 ESB $44 + $5 booking charge, AMNH $37, 9/11 $36 |
$99.00 about 19% lower |
$89.10 about 27% lower |
Method note: For our editorial example, we use the official separately booked prices a visitor can actually see and reserve today, rather than trying to rebuild a walk-up baseline that is not published consistently across all three attractions. Go City's sample already shows the pass against walk-up pricing at its strongest; our comparison shows what a first-time visitor is more likely to compare it against when planning online.
Booking note: In this example, Empire State Building and the 9/11 Museum still require reservations with Go City, while the American Museum of Natural History does not. The pass reduces friction by replacing three separate purchases with one pass purchase, then handling the remaining reservations inside the same trip-planning flow.
Re-check note: Go City's own Essentials sample totalled $174.64 when we re-ran it on July 9, 2026; the table above keeps the April 21 snapshot for consistency.

📈 Price Movements: January vs. April 2026
Comparing our January 3 and April 8, 2026 verified price checks:
💡 Expert Tip: Always check the pass size one step up from your initial plan. On the Explorer Pass, the jump from 7-choice ($229) to 10-choice ($299) costs $70 more — but adds 3 attractions at roughly $23 each, compared to typical NYC gate prices of $40–60. The 10-choice is often the strongest per-attraction value for stays of 4+ days.

Below, we share our analysis of Go City pass options based on years of experience reviewing city passes. Having personally tested passes in cities like London and Paris, we break down the value proposition for different travel styles and group sizes. Our cost comparisons include real attraction prices to help you determine when each pass type makes financial sense for your specific itinerary.
We've used these passes in several cities, and they're pretty simple. You'll get a QR code in the Go City app that attractions scan when you visit. After buying a pass, you have a full year from purchase to start using it (per Go City's own FAQ, re-checked July 9, 2026). With All-Inclusive passes, you pick how many days you want (1-10) and then visit as many places as you can fit in those days. Explorer passes work differently - you pick a set number of attractions and have 30 days to visit them all. In our experience, most places accept the digital pass right from your phone, but bring a portable charger! A few spots still made us get paper tickets at their ticket window.
Not sure which pass to buy? Basically: All-Inclusive Passes are just "see it all" tickets. Just pick how long you want it for (they offer 1 to 10 days) and then you can visit all your favourite attractions. Perfect if you're the type who hates missing out. We got these for London and knocked out 5 big attractions in a single day! Explorer Passes are completely different - you pick a specific number of places (usually 2-10) and have 30 days to visit them (see the validity note below). We go for these when we're not in a hurry and want to mix in some free stuff too. Last time in London, we bought the 5-attraction version and used it over a whole week, spending the rest of our time checking out parks and free museums.
If you're seeing "60 days" mentioned elsewhere, here's the truth: Go City changed their Explorer Pass validity from 60 to 30 days for passes purchased after April 2025. Many older reviews—and even some Go City pages—still show the old 60-day window. Current policy: You have 30 days from your first attraction visit to use all your choices. We verified this in Go City's official Terms & Conditions (last checked April 8, 2026). Plan accordingly!
Note: New York also offers a budget-friendly Essentials Pass (3 attractions only, including one observatory) starting at $99. See our New York section below for full details on this 2025 addition.
After using city passes in several cities, we've found Go City saves you money most of the time. In New York, for example, visiting the Empire State Building, Top of the Rock, and a Circle Line cruise already covers most of the pass cost. You'll get more than just money off: skipping ticket lines at many attractions (saved us nearly an hour at the Tower of London) and discovering hidden gems you might skip because of their price. The 30-day cancellation policy helps if you need to cancel your trip. Just remember that to get your money's worth, try to see 2-3 attractions each day with All-Inclusive passes.
Based on our experience and research, Go City offers passes in 13 U.S. cities and 15 international locations, with the best value typically found in cities with expensive attractions.

Go City has received positive reviews on Trustpilot and Tripadvisor, with users praising its ease of use and affordability. However, it's essential to compare the actual prices of the attractions you want to visit to determine whether a Go City pass is cost-effective for you. Some users may find that tourist passes aren't as convenient if they plan to visit only a few paid top attractions.
Is it worth getting a Go City Pass? Based on our visits to many cities, we suggest one simple thing: check the numbers. List the entrance fees for places you're definitely going to visit, then compare that total with the pass price after applying one of the discount codes we check daily.
We saved around £100 per person with a 3-day London Pass by visiting 9 different attractions over a weekend. Paris offers good value too. One of our LM Travel colleagues used a 2-day Paris Pass during a work trip and managed to see much more of the city than expected, without stressing about costs at each attraction.
